Accommodation
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 10 nights about 15 minute walk from old town and the tapas bars. Once again we used HomeAway and booked a larger apartment so friends can stay. Unfortunately parking wasn’t included and very difficult even stopping out front of the apartment block to drop off the bags. So we decided park in the closest parking garage (30 Euro per day, ouch) and lug our bags from the garage to our hotel a number blocks away. We did research where to find some free parking was 30 minutes walk away.
Dan and Hanani
Being a long weekend in the UK at the end of August, we enticed these two (really had to twist there arms) to come and stay for four nights. It was great to catch up and have many drinks, to play Uno and explore the town.

Not all eating and drinking
We also did a great hike exploring San Sebastian

Celia and Caspian
Fantastic to see Celia and Caspian our friends from Sydney who relocated to Madrid. They happen to be holidaying in San Sebastian at the same time. Thanks Celia for the great restaurant recommendations. Both food and wine were outstanding.

Food and Wine
We loved the red wine from the Rioja Region in Spain. Loving exploring new wines. Some highlights below.
We did eat food to by the way

Sans Sebastian is picturesque
We were lucky enough to get some really nice weather and we spent a few days on the beach and exploring.

Oscar loves the beach

On a final note
Sans Sebastian, you have been great and we are so pleased we decided to come here again after 14 years. Next stop is Saint-Jean-de-Luz, France.
