Accommodation
We stayed at a lovely winery B&B called Les Cinq Sens du Chateau Mayne Lalande. It is set in a wine producing estate, the guest house is located in the small town area of Listrac-Médoc. It has a lovely garden which Oscar loved with an outdoor swimming pool, a spa and a hot tub. A very chilled place and we enjoyed tasting the estate wine as well. We also explored the other wine regions in the Medoc area, more information on that later.

Wedding Anniversary
September 13, 2017 is our 14th wedding anniversary so we decided to treat ourselves to a nearby Michelin Starred restaurant called Chateau Cordeillan Bages. And yes by far the most expensive meal on our trip and probably will be for the entire trip. Menu, food pictures and bill below.

We visited a couple of wineries in the area including the property we stayed in. Even Oscar received the grand wine tour and tasting.

Chateau Marquis De Term
We booked into this winery the day before at the wine tourist centre and weren’t disappointed. Château Marquis de Terme is a winery in the Margaux area of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of ten Quatrièmes Crus (Fourth Growths) in the historic Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. Château Marquis de Terme was once part of the vast Rauzan estate owned by Pierre de Mesures de Rauzan in the mid-17th century. Over time this estate was divided, and by the time of the 1855 Classification, had been separated into the estates of Château Rauzan-Gassies, Château Rauzan-Ségla, Château Desmirail, and Château Marquis de Terme.
